According to Nwoko, Kanu’s freedom could be a crucial step towards restoring peace in the South-East region of Nigeria.

Nwoko emphasized the need for equity and justice in addressing the region’s grievances. He suggested that two key steps could significantly ease tensions:

– Creating an additional state for the South-East region
– Releasing Nnamdi Kanu from detention

Nwoko believes that Kanu’s continued incarceration has contributed to the lingering crisis in the region.
