HOLGA BAKASSI OFFICIALLY HANDOVER TO THE NEWLY ELECTED LGA CHAIRMAN, MR EFFIONG OKON.

The significant event took place earlier today at the Local Government Council secretariat in Bakassi Local Government Area, The handover ceremony was graced by key political leaders, traditional rulers, community leaders, newly elected legislative councillors and residents who gathered to witness the significant transition occasion.

The Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA), Mrs Inyang Okon, officially handed over important documents including keys to government properties to the chairman.
In her address, the HOLGA expressed gratitude for the support she received and highlighted the achievements made under her leadership, including advancements in Agriculture, education, and healthcare.

The newly elected Chairman in his acceptance speech pledged his commitment to the development and progress of Bakassi, he pledge prior interest in addressing critical issues such as security, youth employment, Agriculture, human capital and infrastructural development in his leadership.
The occasion come to an end with inspection of the facilities of the Local Government council and a show of solidarity from various stakeholders, who expressed optimism for a prosperous tenure under the new leadership.
