Dr. Waripamo-Owei Dudafa Defects from PDP to APC
Dr. Waripamo-Owei Dudafa, former Senior Special Assistant on Domestic Matters and Social Events to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has announced his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and his decision to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In his resignation letter addressed to the Chairman of PDP, Southern Opokuma/Ayibabiri Ward 8, Dudafa cited unresolved internal disputes, particularly at the national level, as the reason for his departure. These disputes, he stated, have created a hostile environment that impedes progress and advancement of shared values and objectives.
Despite his decision to leave the PDP, Dudafa expressed his continued commitment to public service. He stated that he looks forward to working with new colleagues in the APC who share his vision for meaningful progress and development.
This development may be significant ahead of the 2027 general elections, as party alignments begin to shift. The defection of Dudafa, a former member of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, could potentially impact the political landscape in Bayelsa State and beyond .
