“Detty December in November”: Wike’s Sassy Response to PDP Expulsion

Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike has reacted to his expulsion from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), describing the event as “Detty December in November” coming early. In a statement, Wike’s aide noted that PDP members had gathered for a social celebration, indulging in drinks and making statements that shouldn’t be taken too seriously.

According to Wike’s camp, the PDP convention was more like a social gathering than a serious party meeting. “They went to start their own Detty December in November,” the aide said, implying that the party’s actions were reckless and lacking in gravity.

The PDP had expelled Wike, former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, and others from the party over alleged anti-party activities. The move has sparked controversy, with some questioning the party’s motives.

This isn’t the first time the PDP has faced challenges. Several court orders were issued stopping the party’s convention, with some bigwigs urging the leadership to obey the court orders and avoid imploding the party.

As the drama unfolds, one thing is certain – the PDP’s internal conflicts are far from over. Will Wike and the PDP be able to resolve their differences, or will this be the final nail in the coffin for the party? Only time will tell.
