Bode George Slams Wike Over PDP HQ Sealing: A Call for Loyalty

PDP stalwart Bode George has expressed disappointment over the sealing of the party’s national secretariat by the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) due to unpaid ground rent. What’s more, George pointed out that the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, is a member of the PDP, making the situation even more painful.

In George’s opinion, Wike should have shown loyalty to the PDP by paying the ground rent himself, given his position as a member of the party. George’s comments on Channels Television’s Politics Today have sparked a heated debate about party loyalty and leadership.

The FCTA’s decision to seal the PDP headquarters was part of a broader enforcement action targeting 4,794 properties with unpaid ground rent, ranging from 10 to 43 years. The agency later granted defaulters a 14-day grace period to settle their debts, following President Bola Tinubu’s intervention.

The incident has raised questions about Wike’s commitment to the PDP and his role in the FCTA’s enforcement action. Will Wike respond to Bode George’s criticism, or will the matter fade away? The PDP’s internal dynamics will be closely watched in the coming days.
