BAKASSI L.G.A ARBITRATION PANEL ENDORSED BAKASSI INTERNATIONAL FISH FESTIVAL, COMMEND THE YOUTH OF A GREAT AND PROMISING FUTURE

Bakassi Arbitration Panel led by its Chairman, His Royal Highness, Etinyin Effiom Bassey, endorse, bless and promise total support to the Bakassi International Fish Festival September 26 – 27 2023 edition initiative…

In an official meeting with the panel at the panel’s wing in the palace of the paramount ruler of Bakassi at Ikot Effiom Bakassi LGA the leader of the delegation Ma’am Frank Edima introduced her team and went on appreciating the royal fathers for opening their arms to welcome the team, she apologized to the fathers for not taking this step in the first edition and then went on to discuss the intent of the festival which is aimed at driving a new narrative for the LGA and rewriting the story of the LGA away from the most known image of Kidnapping, Crime, Militancy, Drugs and all sort of criminality. Edima made noticed to the royals that the LGA is blessed with water and aquatic content good enough to be showcased and appreciated mentioning that what you don’t appreciate would certainly depreciate someday and that the water resources gotten in the LGA is of all importance to the LGA.

The group leader intimated the panel of the teams journey so far on inviting Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea and a few other border countries plus the Governor’s special invitation, top government functioneries, commissioners, etc and their acceptance, support and commitment to the festival telling them to please be intimated and in readiness to host this great August visitors in September.

The media officer and also a son of the LGA Comr. Charles Okon Etim-Edem aka Otunba Charles Edem added that the event is widely publicized, that the reception and comments of the audience statewide and beyond signifies that so many people from far and near would be attending the event and that it is worthy and of great importance that the royal stools, clans and all embodiment of royalty in the LGA backs their children up in the processes all the way. He Cited that yearly events like this happens in many other LGA and that it will be of great positive impact on the LGA in the end bringing great international, national recognition & federal government’s attention to the LGA also stressing the real time benefits this would give to the locals.

Responding on behalf of the panel Etinyin Effiom Bassey express his happiness of the fact that there could be right and forward thinking youths like the organizers of the Bakassi International Fish Festival in the community with such lofty ideas and great connection to have gotten this far. He commented of his wonderful experience and how surprised he was to see such a first edition which exited his expectations being the first trial but with huge success fantastically done. He accepted and proposed a date to reach out to the committee with thier support in all needed areas especially financial noting that a sweet soup is made of good money.

He prayed that God would touch more people and groups to support the initiative, he prayed for life in good health for both the committee and the panel to witness the event coming in the next 20 days time.
