Tinubu Dismisses Opposition Coalition Plans, Labels Leaders “Politically Displaced”

President Bola Tinubu has responded to reports of opposition leaders forming a coalition to unseat him in the 2027 presidential election. According to Tinubu, those behind the coalition are “political IDPs” (Internally Displaced Persons) who are planning to unseat themselves.

During a state visit to Nasarawa State, Tinubu urged his supporters not to pay attention to his political opponents. He emphasized that his administration is focused on bringing development and prosperity to the country.

Tinubu also commended Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule for his efforts in bringing development to the state. The President pledged his administration’s support for the governor’s initiatives.

Governor Sule appealed to Tinubu to facilitate full oil and gas exploration in the Obi Local Government Area, where hydrocarbons were discovered in 2023. The governor believes that this could unlock significant economic benefits for the state and the country.

The President’s remarks highlight the ongoing political dynamics in Nigeria. As the 2027 presidential election approaches, it will be interesting to see how the opposition coalition plans unfold and how Tinubu’s administration responds to the challenges ahead.
