UK Exam Fraud Scandal: Over 1,900 Nigerian Nurses Affected

A shocking exam fraud scandal has rocked the UK’s healthcare sector, with 1,238 Nigerian nurses facing disciplinary actions and another 717 under investigation. The scandal centers around the Yunnik test centre in Ibadan, Oyo State, where irregularities were detected in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) required for foreign-trained nurses seeking UK registration .

The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) has categorized the affected individuals into four groups, with varying consequences. Those with likely fraudulent results will face stricter scrutiny, while others may be allowed to retake the CBT or proceed with their registration .
