Transforming Cross River South: Governor Bassey Otu’s 2-Year Security Milestone

Governor Bassey Otu has marked his second year in office with significant strides in enhancing security in Cross River State. Through strategic initiatives and collaborative efforts with security agencies, traditional institutions, and critical stakeholders, his administration has successfully transformed the security landscape of Cross River State

The governor inaugurated 30 operational vehicles for the state’s joint security task force, with plans to expand the fleet to 100 vehicles, bolstering the operational capabilities of security Governor Otu partnered with Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, Nigeria Port Authority, and marine transport operators to ensure the safety of the state’s maritime routes, curbing piracy and kidnapping.The governor pledged to tighten security around border communities, addressing issues like illegal mining and boundary disputes.
