In a significant development, President Bola Tinubu has forgiven Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, marking the end of a period of tension between the two leaders. The forgiveness came after a closed-door meeting with members of the Lagos State Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), who had pleaded on behalf of the governor.

Chairman of the GAC, Alhaji Tajudeen Olusi, had acknowledged that Tinubu had been unhappy with some individuals in the state, particularly the governor.
In a dramatic display of remorse, Sanwo-Olu and several GAC members prostrated before the president, seeking forgiveness. Tinubu, in response, declared that “it’s all over now. All is forgiven,” effectively ending the period of tension.
