President Tinubu Arrives Benue State for Crisis Talks
President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Benue State to address the rising killings and insecurity in the region. He landed at the Nigerian Air Force Base in Makurdi at 12:58 pm, where he will engage with stakeholders in a bid to find lasting solutions.
In anticipation of the President’s visit, the Benue State Government declared a public holiday. Residents were encouraged to participate in a “colourful shoulder-to-shoulder spread/procession” to honour the President’s arrival.
During his visit, President Tinubu is expected to hold a town hall meeting with key stakeholders, including traditional rulers, community leaders, and youth groups. The meeting aims to discuss the ongoing crisis and identify ways to restore peace and stability in the state.
