GOVERNOR OTU IMPLEMENT N70,000 MINIMUM WAGE, BEGIN DECEMBER PAYMENT.
The Governor Of Cross River State His Excellency Sen. Prince Bassey Otu has fulfill his promise to implement N70,000 as minimum wage for workers at the state.
This was disclose by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Media Mr. Andrea Ekeng.
“We can recall that last month, members of the Labour and Trade union in the state embark on a two days warning strike for the new minimum wage as approved by the federal government to be implemented in the state, this gesture was not given deaf ears by the Governor and he has begin to fulfill his promises.”
Subsequently, the Governor in his goodwill as also order payment for December Salary to enable the workers enjoy the Christmas season.
The Special Assistant to the Governor on Media also confirm that workers in the state have started receiving their salary for the month of December, this gesture is geared towards ensuring workers in the state have their money to enjoy during the yuletide season.
He pledge to consolidate on the mandate bestowed upon him by the people and keep ensuring the demands of the people are fully made.
