Governor Otu Enhances Health Services across the state, Donate 196 Laptops
Cross River State’s healthcare system has made significant strides with the introduction of 196 laptops, intended to improve healthcare delivery in all 196 political wards of the state.
Dr. Henry Asuk, the Honourable Commissioner for Health, expressed gratitude for the state government’s continuous support, noting that these digital tools will significantly enhance health services in the region.
Dr. Paul Odi, Project Manager for the Cross River City IMPACT PROJECT, indicated that the laptops will facilitate better health record management and monitoring, ultimately aiming to improve immunization rates and access to healthcare for all residents.
Dr. Mesembe, Director-General of the Primary Healthcare Development Agency, highlighted the initiative’s potential to lower maternal and child mortality rates and enhance healthcare services for underserved communities.
Additionally, Governor Prince Bassey Otu announced a ₦5 billion increase in the budget for bolstering primary healthcare facilities and plans to expand health insurance coverage to more residents, calling for collaborative efforts to enhance healthcare access for everyone.
