Flood Relief: Nigerian States Receive N3 Billion for Palliatives

In response to the devastating flood disasters across Nigeria, the Federal Government has disbursed N3 billion to affected states to provide immediate relief to victims. This timely intervention aims to alleviate the suffering of those displaced and affected by the floods.

Relief Efforts:

The National Economic Council (NEC) meeting, chaired by Vice President Kashim Shettima, announced the allocation of funds to support flood victims. Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State explained that the money will be used to provide food and temporary shelter to those in need. NEC also directed a collaborative effort to address the flood disasters, including an inventory to assess the damage.

Reconstituted Flood Committee

The NEC Committee on Flood has been reconstituted, with Vice President Shettima as Chairman. The committee comprises governors from affected states, ministers, and representatives from government agencies. This collective effort aims to ensure a holistic approach to addressing the flood disasters.
