FACT ABOUT THE THREE CHINA WARSHIPS WHICH ARRIVED NIGERIA ON SUNDAY 2ND JULY 2023 TO STRENGTHEN BILATERAL RELATIONS.

The Chinese Navy Escort Task Group (ETG) 162, comprising MSL D£§troyer NANNING, MSL Frigate SANYA, and Supply Ship WEISHANHU, have arrived Nigeria to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

The Chinese envoy which arrived Lagos on Sunday, July 2, were received by officials of the Western Naval Command led by Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) Rear Admiral Joseph Akpan.

According to the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Chi Jian Chun, said that the visitation of the Chinese envoy is scheduled to last from July 2nd to 6th, and it’s aim at enhancing maritime security within West Africa.

This scenario have trigger some reactions by concern individuals who suggest Chinese may not be leaving Nigeria soon and may likely take over some basic infrastructures if Nigeria fail to honour their debt.
