VP Shettima Represents Tinubu at AU-EU Summit in Angola

Vice President Kashim Shettima has departed Johannesburg for Luanda, Angola, to represent President Bola Tinubu at the seventh African Union (AU) and European Union (EU) summit. This high-level meeting brings together leaders from both continents to discuss pressing global issues and strengthen cooperation

The summit, scheduled for November 24-25, 2025, will focus on various topics, including

– Inclusivity in development
– Infrastructure
– Digital economy
– Creative industry
– Manufacturing
– Agribusiness

The AU-EU summit aims to foster partnerships between young leaders, innovators, and civil society organizations to address shared challenges and provide recommendations for sustainable development. This meeting is crucial in strengthening ties between the two unions and promoting cooperation on key issues

Before heading to Angola, Vice President Shettima attended the 20th G20 Leaders’ Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa, where he engaged with global leaders on pressing economic and development issues. His participation in both events underscores Nigeria’s commitment to regional and global cooperation
