The Changes: A Closer Look

Yakubu Gowon University (formerly UniAbuja)*: President Tinubu has dissolved the entire governing council and relieved Professor Aisha Sani Maikudi of her duties as Vice-Chancellor. Professor Lar Patricia Manko has been appointed as Acting Vice-Chancellor for a six-month term University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN)*: Professor Polycarp Emeka Chigbu has been removed as Acting Vice-Chancellor, and Professor Oguejiofu T. Ujam has been appointed as his successor for six months ¹.

New Pro-Chancellors Appointed

Senator Lanre Tejuoso has been appointed as Pro-Chancellor, succeeding Senator Joy Emordi University of Nigeria, NsukkaEngineer Olubunmi Kayode Ojo has been appointed as the new Pro-Chancellor, while Gen. Ike Nwachukwu has been reassigned to Pro-Chancellor at the University of Uyo ¹.
