Rev Sister Kinse Dismissed After Exposing Clergy Misconduct
Rev Sister Annastasia Kinse, a Catholic nun, has been dismissed from her congregation, the Mother of Perpetual Help of the Archangels Sisters, after alleging that some priests engage in sexual relationships with Reverend Sisters. In a viral revelation, Kinse claimed that certain clergy members had mistreated and sexually harassed her and other sisters, leading to her dismissal.
Kinse received a letter of dismissal dated July 21, 2025, which she only obtained on September 24, 2025. Along with the letter, she was given a token sum of ₦100,000 (approximately KSh 8,600). Upon returning to the convent, she found her belongings packed outside her room, and her religious habits had been taken away.
Despite her dismissal, Kinse expressed gratitude to those who supported her, stating, “From my heart, I sincerely thank everyone who has stood by me in prayer and encouragement through this time. Your love and support mean more than words can express.” She reaffirmed her faith, saying, “I am a Catholic! And I love my Church! Above all, I place my trust in God, whose throne can never be shaken and who never abandons His own.”
