The Minister of Information, Idris, made this announcement, stating that the appointments are in response to public demands for the posting of ambassadors .
The Senate had recently confirmed 64 ambassadorial nominees, including notable figures such as Femi Fani-Kayode, Reno Omokri, and Abdulrahman Dambazau. The confirmation followed a thorough screening process by the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs .
The posting of ambassadors is expected to strengthen Nigeria’s diplomatic engagements across various sectors and advance the country’s interests in the international community. The ambassadors will play a crucial role in promoting Nigeria’s economic, political, and cultural interests abroad .
