Presidency Denies Reports of Gbajabiamila’s Replacement as Tinubu’s Chief of Staff

The Presidency has categorically denied reports circulating on social media that President Bola Tinubu has replaced his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, with his Principal Private Secretary, Hakeem Muri-Okunola. According to Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, the reports are “false and misleading” .

In a statement issued on Thursday, Onanuga urged Nigerians to disregard the reports, emphasizing that Gbajabiamila remains firmly in his position as Chief of Staff, while Muri-Okunola continues in his role as Principal Private Secretary ³. “There is absolutely no truth to this story,” the statement read. “We advise Nigerians to disregard it entirely” .

The Presidency believes that the reports are a fabrication by purveyors of fake news aiming to sow discord within the government. Onanuga cautioned media outlets and social media users against spreading unverified information, particularly on sensitive matters concerning governance .
