NYSC Warns Corps Members Against Self-Help: Obey Rules and Follow Proper Channels

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has cautioned newly sworn-in corps members against taking the law into their own hands during and after their service year. NYSC Bauchi State Coordinator, Umoren Kufre, emphasized the importance of obeying rules and regulations, urging corps members to use appropriate communication channels to express grievances

 

 

– Corps members are advised to strictly comply with NYSC rules and regulations.
– They should report any irregularities through proper channels, rather than resorting to self-help.
– The NYSC management prioritizes the safety and comfort of corps members, ensuring basic amenities are provided .

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, represented by State Head of Service Mohammed Umar, urged corps members to take the lead in advocating for national development and transformation. He encouraged them to take their responsibilities seriously and work towards achieving national unity and integration .

The NYSC Coordinator assured corps members that their safety and comfort are top priorities. He commended the Bauchi State Governor for his support of the scheme, including the renovation of corps members’ hostels and the construction of a new multipurpose hall .
