The Federal Government, under President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, is working tirelessly to end frequent power grid collapses and achieve grid reliability and stability in the power sector. Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, made this known at the Nigerian Independent System Operator (NISO) Management maiden retreat in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

Replaced outdated equipment:The Minister of Power has ordered the immediate replacement of outdated equipment to prevent further grid collapses.
Developed a comprehensive plan:A committee has been set up to develop short-term, medium-term, and long-term solutions to address the power grid challenges.
While the road ahead may be challenging, the government’s efforts to stabilize the power grid and increase electricity access are steps in the right direction.
