Nigeria Deploys Technical Aid Corps Volunteers to Sierra Leone
The Federal Government of Nigeria has deployed four Technical Aid Corps (TAC) volunteers to Sierra Leone to strengthen bilateral ties and promote regional development. The volunteers, comprising two professors, one PhD holder, and one Master’s degree holder, will serve in various institutions across Sierra Leone, contributing to human capital development through knowledge transfer, capacity building, and support for socio-economic progress.
This deployment reflects President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to strengthening bonds of fraternity and solidarity between Nigeria and her sister nations across Africa and the Caribbean. The TAC scheme, established in 1987, is one of Nigeria’s flagship foreign policy instruments, exporting skilled manpower to sister African and Caribbean nations in pursuit of mutual development and The deployed volunteers will share their expertise in critical fields such as:
