Manchester United Advances to Women’s Champions League Quarters with 2-0 Win Over Atletico Madrid on
Manchester United has booked its spot in the Women’s Champions League quarter-finals, defeating Atletico Madrid 2-0 (5-0 aggregate) at Leigh Sports Village. Goals from Julia Zigiotti Olme and Jess Park secured the win, with Atletico’s Xenia Perez sent off late on.

Manager Marc Skinner’s side will now face Bayern Munich in the last eight, following Wolfsburg’s 2-0 win over Juventus (4-2 aggregate). Wolfsburg’s Stina Johannes praised her team’s performance, saying, “We played a good game, although the last 20 minutes were a bit stressful”.
Wolfsburg will face Lyon in the quarter-finals, a rematch of their 2013 Champions League final. Johannes noted, “They are a team with history who have always been really difficult opponents”.
