A disturbing incident has occurred in Kogi State, Nigeria, where a Chinese expatriate, Mr. Gu Xiaowu, was abducted, and a police officer, Inspector Adeniyi Ojo, was killed in a kidnapping ambush. The incident took place on Saturday in the Yagba East Local Government Area.

A team of police and civil defense personnel was escorting Mr. Gu Xiaowu, who works with Rilix Mining Company at Isanlu, when they came under heavy gunfire from suspected kidnappers. Despite their efforts, the police officer was fatally shot, and the expatriate was abducted.

The police responded swiftly, deploying a response team and conducting a tactical sweep of the area. However, the assailants managed to escape into the bush with the abducted expatriate. The incident highlights the ongoing security challenges in the region.
