FAAN Resumes Access Gate Fee Collection at Abuja Airport After Temporary Suspension

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has announced the resumption of access gate fee collection at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. The collection, which was temporarily suspended due to ongoing road construction, resumed on February 8, 2025, at 8:30 am.

FAAN had initially halted the fee collection on January 24, 2025, to ease traffic congestion caused by the construction activities. However, with the resumption of collection, airport users will once again be required to pay the access gate fee.

The authority confirmed the resumption of collection through a statement on their official social media account. The move is expected to help FAAN generate revenue and maintain the airport’s facilities.

Airport users are advised to factor in the access gate fee when planning their trips. The resumption of collection is a normal part of airport operations, and FAAN has assured the public that the fee will be used to improve airport services.
