Empowering Artisans in North-West Region: ITF Launches SUPA Programme

The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) has called on artisans in the North-West region to take advantage of the Skills Upgradement Programme for Artisans (SUPA) to upgrade their skills, improve productivity, and increase their income. The programme aims to position artisans to compete not just locally, but nationally and globally .

The SUPA programme is designed to provide artisans with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their chosen trades. By participating in the programme, artisans can:

– Upgrade their skills and knowledge
– Improve their productivity and efficiency
– Increase their income and earning potential
– Compete with other artisans nationally and globally

The ITF has already trained and upgraded over 30,000 artisans in 2025 under the first SUPA programme. The programme has been successful in equipping artisans with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their trades

The ITF is urging traditional rulers, community and youth leaders, women leaders, and trade associations to help spread the word about the programme and encourage artisans to participate. Artisans across a wide range of trades, including electrical installation, plumbing, welding and fabrication, carpentry, furniture making, automobile repairs, fashion design, construction, ICT, and several other vocational and technical skills, are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity .

Artisans who are interested in participating in the SUPA programme can contact the ITF for more information. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to upgrade your skills and take your business to the next level .
