A deadly ambush by suspected bandits has claimed the life of a Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) officer, CCA Adamu Abdullah, 37, in Katsina State. The victims were attached to Operation Sharan Daji and were on transit when the bandits struck. Upon receiving the report, security personnel from Danmusa mobilized patrol teams to the scene, evacuated the injured officers to General Hospital in Dutsinma for treatment, and recovered their Hilux vehicle.
This attack highlights the escalating insecurity in Katsina State, where repeated incidents of armed banditry have been reported despite ongoing military operations aimed at restoring peace.
