Kidnappers Demand N100 Million Ransom for Each Victim in Eruku Attack

The kidnappers who attacked Eruku in Osun State, Nigeria, have demanded a ransom of N100 million for each of the 11 victims in their custody. The abductors have grouped the victims and are systematically reaching out to their relatives to demand the ransom.

The Olori Eta of Eruku, Chief Olusegun Olukotun, whose four family members were among those abducted, confirmed that the kidnappers were demanding N100 million for each person. Olukotun, who escaped the attack by fleeing through a window, appealed for urgent government intervention to secure the safe release of the victims.

The Owa of Eruku, Oba Busari Olarewaju, commended the swift deployment of military personnel to the community following the visit of the state governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq. However, the monarch stressed that more needed to be done to rescue the victims quickly.

The situation is still developing, and the authorities are working to secure the release of the victims. The incident highlights the need for increased security measures in the state to prevent such attacks.
