PDP Takes Disciplinary Action Against Senior Officials

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended four senior national officers, including National Secretary Samuel Anyanwu, for alleged anti-party activities. The suspensions, which will last for one month, were announced after an emergency meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC) in Abuja.

The four officials suspended are:

– Senator Samuel Anyanwu, National Secretary
– Hon. Umar Bature, National Organising Secretary
– Kamal Deen Ajibade (SAN), National Legal Adviser
– Barr. Okechukwu Osuoha, Deputy National Legal Adviser

The suspended officials are accused of breaching several sections of the PDP Constitution, including conduct likely to bring the party into disrepute, hatred, or contempt. The NWC has referred them to the National Disciplinary Committee for further investigation.

The NWC has approved interim replacements for the suspended officials. The Deputy National Secretary, Hon. Arch Setonji Koshedo, will act as National Secretary, while the Director of Legal Services will oversee the Legal Department.

The PDP’s decision to suspend these officials demonstrates the party’s commitment to maintaining discipline and adherence to its constitution. The party will continue to investigate the allegations and take necessary actions to ensure that its members uphold the party’s values and principles.
