The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has issued a stern warning to professional and examination bodies in Nigeria against the illegal award of National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) certificates. According to the NBTE, only institutions accredited by the board are authorized to run ND and HND programs.

The NBTE’s directive is aimed at ensuring that technical education in Nigeria maintains its integrity and standards. The board emphasized that any institution or body found engaging in such illegal practices would face regulatory and legal action.
