President Tinubu Celebrates Governor Bassey Otu’s 66th Birthday

President Bola Tinubu recently congratulated Cross River State Governor Bassey Otu on his 66th birthday, praising his people-focused leadership and development initiatives. Governor Otu’s “People First” agenda prioritizes human capital development, education, health security, food security, and cultural empowerment.

President Tinubu commended Governor Otu’s efforts in education, including establishing the University of Education and Entrepreneurship and the College of Agriculture. These institutions aim to equip the next generation with skills to drive sustainable growth in the state.

The Governor’s pursuit of industrialization through the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone in Adiabo, supported by the African Development Bank, aligns with the Federal Government’s goals to strengthen value chains, promote export competitiveness, and create jobs.

President Tinubu expressed confidence that ongoing projects, such as the Bakassi Deep Seaport, coastal highway, Trans-Sahara Superhighway, river port, and free trade zone, will transform Cross River into a significant hub for commerce, logistics, and tourism in West Africa.
