WAEC’s Computer-Based Test Initiative Gets Boost from FG and NASS

 

The Federal Government and National Assembly have thrown their weight behind the West African Examinations Council’s (WAEC) plan to introduce Computer-Based Tests (CBT) by 2026. This move aims to revolutionize student assessment in Nigeria’s education sector.

The Minister of Education, Maruf Alausa, highlighted that the CBT will  eradicate exam malpractices
By conducting exams in designated computer-based centers, malpractice will be drastically reduced.
The CBT will safeguard the credibility of WAEC examinations, enhancing their reputation locally and internationally.
