General Musa Urges Nigerians to Learn Combat Skills for Self-Defense
Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Christopher Musa has advised Nigerians to acquire combat skills, such as martial arts, to protect themselves in the face of danger. He likened learning combat skills to acquiring essential survival skills like driving and swimming.
General Musa emphasized the importance of self-defense in today’s world, citing the need for situational awareness and the ability to protect oneself from harm. He suggested that learning combat skills should be a priority for all Nigerians, regardless of age or background.
The CDS also proposed that the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) should train Nigerian graduates on unarmed combat skills for day-to-day survival. He stressed that security is the business of all Nigerians and urged citizens to be vigilant and aware of their surroundings.
