FG’s Ambitious Housing Project: 250-Unit Estates in 12 States

The Federal Government, through the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, is currently constructing 250-unit Renewed Hope estates in 12 states across the six geopolitical zones in Nigeria. This initiative aims to provide affordable housing for Nigerians and improve their living conditions.

The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmed Dangiwa, has revealed that provision is being finalized to flag off construction of the same project in the remaining 24 states. This move demonstrates the government’s commitment to making affordable housing available to Nigerians nationwide.

The construction of seven Renewed Hope Cities, one in each geopolitical zone and the FCT, is underway. The Kano, Lagos, and FCT cities are in an advanced stage, while the takeoff in the remaining four zones is imminent. The minister has commended the contractors for their progress despite delays in payment.

The Federal Government’s ambitious housing project is a step in the right direction towards addressing Nigeria’s housing needs. With the construction of 250-unit estates in 12 states and plans to expand to 24 more states, this initiative has the potential to improve the lives of many Nigerians and contribute to the country’s economic growth.
